Get Prepared
Gather the important documents and information needed for the lease application.

The more prepared you are, the better equipped your REALTOR® will be to get you the property you want. Be ready to pay, at a minimum, two months rent. Do NOT include any security deposits you expect to receive back from your current property. It can take up to 45 days to receive it.
Be ready to apply for a property as soon as you see it. They tend to go quickly!
First Month's Rent
The first full month of rent can be due as early as application submission, usually in a certified form. This is refundable if the application is not accepted or the lease is not signed, unless otherwise stated. Read everything!
Application Fee
$30-$150 non-refundable, per adult. Usually in certified form.
Security Deposit
Equal to one month's rent, up to 2 month's of rent based on credit or income. Usually due at lease signing.
